Trauma Does Not Have To Defeat You

Trauma affects each of us differently in our journeys through grief and, hopefully, recovery. Hope is something we all seek in difficult times, yet it can often feel just out of reach.

With help and support, you can find the strength within yourself to grow, find hope and joy again, and have a sense of purpose. We think it’s important to point out that even though you experience growth through trauma, it doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t have a dark day and retreat back into the valley of sadness, wandering off the path of hope. But when you have the tools to help you regain strength, it’s easier to get back on your path once again.

The SJSF can help you find empathy, support, and positive resources… and that all starts with an important declaration: I need help. It’s so hard to be strong when you’re broken. We know, we’ve been there. Let us help you.

Our Mission

The Shelby Jane Seyburn Foundation is dedicated to promoting Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) research and awareness while also supporting conference grants, teen parents, and health and wellness initiatives.

The Willows Healing Center provides professional resources, guidance, and compassion to foster a supportive community of hope, healing, and empowerment for those facing trauma. Committed to sustainability, it actively maintains a strong network of volunteers and financial support to ensure its services remain accessible to those in need.

How You Can Help Us

We are dedicated to making profound, positive changes and advancements in the areas of emotional support after trauma, educational research, and health and wellness. But we need your help to make our dreams come true through the Shelby Jane Seyburn Foundation, a 501c3 non- profit organization. Any form of assistance can make a difference, including volunteering your skills, donating resources, supporting our community events, or providing your expertise at our up-and- coming healing center.

As you help the foundation get off the ground, take pride in the fact that you are also helping others find the healing they need in order to move forward.
